15. Technical TODO list

• YaST2-style message entryid calced from format-string of the message of log_fn()
• surprise.m4 should be allow to compile against uninstalled libsurprise sources
• Split POTFILES between clients cmdline, gnome etc.
• part/resources.c should use "/proc/partitions", /dev/ as fallback
• Allow user-specification of additional devices for part/resources.c
• part/resources.c should try fs detection on the whole partitionable device on partition detection fail
• handle files longer than 2GB (FAT doesn't allow them, but ext2 does). ei_size should be of type long long, not long
• VFAT+rights hardlinks: now the hardlinks are copied more than once, but it may be possible to emulate hardlinks on VFAT
• solve ei_mode/ei_rdev conflict
• get_resources/get_final should allocate the struct to be compatible regarding struct extensions
• "$Id" may be compiled in even for non-source files
• rewrite adding entries into directories in ext2fs in constant time (now linear)
